Rutgers women’s basketball secured a 67-61 victory over Siena on Monday night at Jersey Mike’s Arena, improving their season record to 5-2. The win marks Rutgers’ second all-time win against Siena, who remain winless at 0-6 this season.

Nene Ndiaye led the Scarlet Knights with a career-high 26 points, also contributing eight rebounds and four steals. She was efficient from the free throw line, making nine of ten attempts. Ndiaye has now scored in double digits in seven consecutive games and surpassed 20 points three times this season.

Zachara Perkins matched her own career best with 17 points and added seven rebounds. Imani Lester contributed ten points and tied her career high with nine rebounds, while also setting a personal best with four blocks.

The game saw six ties before Rutgers pulled ahead in the fourth quarter, outscoring Siena 22-16. Perkins helped secure the outcome by hitting key shots late in the game.

Faith Blackstone made her debut for Rutgers, scoring seven points along with three rebounds and two steals. Kaylah Ivey recorded six assists, her highest since the opening game of the season.

Rutgers finished the first quarter perfect from the free throw line (9-for-9) and ended the game shooting nearly 79 percent (22-of-28) from the stripe. The team forced Siena into 20 turnovers, converting those into 25 points. On rebounding, Rutgers edged Siena 42-39.

Following this win, Rutgers will host Northeastern on November 28 and Saint Peter’s on November 30 during Thanksgiving weekend.
