Rutgers University will host Maryland in a Big Ten football matchup at SHI Stadium in Piscataway, New Jersey, on November 8, 2025. The game is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FS1.
This event marks Rutgers’ annual Military Appreciation game, presented by Provident Bank. The Scarlet Knights will wear American flag-themed helmets to honor service members. Free tickets for military personnel and veterans are available through a partnership with Vet Tix at VetTix.org. Limited-edition Block R military merchandise can be purchased online or at the stadium while supplies last.
Pre-game activities include a military flyover and displays of military vehicles along The Rutgers Boardwalk for fan photos. Service members will be recognized throughout the day, participate in the pep rally, and line the pregame tunnel as the team enters the field.
The Rutgers Boardwalk, which opens at 10 a.m., features family-friendly entertainment such as superhero meet-and-greets, free rides and games, live performances, and opportunities to write letters to troops overseas. Game-day giveaways include “Beat Maryland” buttons and shakers.
To improve entry into SHI Stadium, fans may enter through any gate with an approved bag and pass through weapons detection systems without emptying their pockets. Details on permitted bag sizes are available online. Medically necessary items are allowed after inspection.
Digital tickets remain in use for all attendees; these can be added to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet apps for contactless entry. Digital parking passes function similarly. Assistance from ticket staff will be available on-site for any digital ticket issues.
SHI Stadium operates cashless concessions and merchandise stands; only credit or debit cards are accepted. A cash-to-card kiosk is provided at section 113 for those needing to convert cash into debit cards.
Fans parking at Jersey Mike’s Arena lots can use free campus buses to reach SHI Stadium, with drop-off near Lot 53A by The Rutgers Boardwalk. ADA shuttles serve several lots before and after the game.
