Rutgers University’s women’s volleyball team will conclude its 2025 season by hosting matches against Oregon and Washington this week. The Scarlet Knights will face Oregon on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. at Jersey Mike’s Arena in Piscataway, with tickets available for purchase online. On Friday, Rutgers plays Washington at 1:00 p.m. at the College Avenue Gym in New Brunswick, with free admission for attendees.
Parking for fans attending the game at Jersey Mike’s Arena is available at the Livingston Campus Green/Yellow Lot, while those going to the College Ave Gym can park in Lot 30, Lot 26, or the College Ave Parking Deck.
The week’s games mark the first time that both Oregon and Washington are traveling to New Jersey since joining the Big Ten Conference. Last season, Rutgers played both teams on their home courts on the West Coast.
The Scarlet Knights enter these final matches after consecutive contests against top-25 opponents—No. 17 Indiana and No. 19 Minnesota—with sophomore Lily Bolen reaching her milestone of 1,000 assists in a single season during the match against Minnesota.
Rutgers leads the Big Ten conference in aces per set (1.82), ranking 29th nationally with a total of 189 aces this season. Lexi Visintine is fourth in the Big Ten with 44 aces and is approaching her 100th career ace.
Aspen Maxwell has received two all-tournament honors this year—including Sacred Heart Invite MVP—and currently ranks ninth in total points (421.5) and sixteenth in kills per set (3.39) among league players.
Lily Bolen averages 9.68 assists per set—eighth best among Big Ten setters—and has recorded ten double-doubles this season, including four straight matches recently.
Defensively, Zora Hardison leads Rutgers with 103 total blocks and holds program records for solo blocks both for a single season and career during rally scoring era play.
Alleigh Dutton leads Rutgers in digs for most matches this year, averaging just over three per set.
Oregon arrives with a record of 15-13 overall and a conference mark of 6-12 following losses to USC and Michigan last week; their last win was an upset over Purdue earlier in November. Alanah Clemente leads Oregon offensively with an average of nearly four kills per set; Valentina Vaulet follows closely behind while also sharing team leadership in service aces alongside Clemente.
Washington comes into Friday’s matchup holding a record of 12-16 overall (7-11 Big Ten). Kierstyn Barton leads their offense; Kat Wessels tops defensive stats within their squad as well as across much of the conference.
Several Rutgers players are close to significant career milestones:
– Zora Hardison needs seven more solo blocks to move into ninth place all-time.
– Lexi Visintine requires two more aces to become only the second player of Rutgers’ rally era with at least one hundred career aces.
– Lily Bolen needs three more service aces to tie for ninth place all-time.
– Natalie Robinson is within reach of moving up on both solo block and total block lists.
Additional individual achievements are being tracked as several players approach or surpass school records established during previous seasons.
The Scarlet Knights have shown consistent improvement under head coach Caitlin Schweihofer since her arrival ahead of an abbreviated spring season in early 2021 due to COVID-19 disruptions; that year saw major program firsts including series sweeps and victories over teams like Indiana and Michigan State. In subsequent seasons, Rutgers posted its best nonconference record since joining the Big Ten Conference while continuing to compete regularly against nationally ranked opponents from one of NCAA volleyball’s strongest leagues.

Players such as Alissa Kinkela—a recent professional signee—have made notable contributions toward setting new program benchmarks across categories like kills, blocks, assists, digs, and service aces.
