The Rutgers volleyball program has been recognized with the AVCA Team Academic Award, an accolade sponsored by INTENT. This award acknowledges volleyball programs that have achieved a year-long grade-point average of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale.
During the 2024-25 academic year, the Scarlet Knights maintained a GPA of 3.553. In addition to this achievement, eight members of the team were named Academic All-Big Ten in the fall for maintaining a cumulative GPA over 3.0. Among them, two players, including rising junior Kenzie Dyrstad, received Big Ten Distinguished Scholar accolades for achieving a GPA of 3.7 or higher during the same academic period.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) aims to advance volleyball through leadership and advocacy from coaches who are central to its mission. The organization includes over 10,000 members across collegiate, professional, high school, club, and youth levels primarily in the United States and represents women’s volleyball, men’s volleyball, and beach volleyball coaches.
