Rutgers women’s golf team to compete in Route 66 Invitational in Tulsa

Rutgers University’s women’s golf team is set to compete in the Route 66 Invitational, an event honoring Dale McNamera, on Monday and Tuesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The tournament will take place at Cedar Ridge Golf Club, a par-71 course measuring 6,181 yards.

The invitational features a field of 13 teams: Alabama, Arkansas, BYU, Cal Poly, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia Southern, Minnesota, Montana State, Oklahoma, Oral Roberts, Rutgers, Sam Houston, Tulsa and Wisconsin.

According to the event schedule provided by Rutgers Athletics, practice rounds are scheduled for Sunday. Competition begins with two rounds on Monday starting at 9:30 a.m. ET with a shotgun start. The final round will be held Tuesday at the same time.

Rutgers’ lineup for the event includes Joline Truong, Grace Lu, Judy Amano, Emily James and Krystal Li.

Reflecting on their previous performance this fall season at the Princeton Invitational on October 4 at Springdale Golf Club, Rutgers finished second out of 13 teams with an eight-over-par total of 860 (285-289-286). Sophomore Judy Amano tied for fifth place individually. Redshirt senior Grace Lu tied for seventh and sophomore Joline Truong tied for tenth.

Following the Route 66 Invitational in Tulsa, Rutgers plans to send individual golfers to participate in the Lehigh Invitational from October 25–26 in Bedminster, New Jersey.
