Rutgers women’s rowing team ended its 2025 fall season with a win at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie. The Women’s 8+ A boat finished first among six boats in the second round, posting a time of 15:04.162 and finishing over 14 seconds ahead of Princeton’s A team.
Rutgers’ B and C boats also competed in the same round, placing fourth and fifth respectively, with times of 16:28.949 and 16:56.837.
In the first round, Rutgers A finished fifth out of 60 entries, recording a time of 14:21.862. The Scarlet Knights trailed teams from Princeton, Virginia (A and B), and Dartmouth but placed ahead of Michigan and Pennsylvania, both of which had NCAA Championship boats last season.
The team also raced in the Women’s 4+ final, where Rutgers A took fourth place with a time of 16:38.042. They followed Virginia A (16:32.581), Princeton A (16:35.240), and Virginia B (16:35.581).
Looking ahead, Rutgers women’s rowing will start its spring season with a scrimmage against Temple on March 14 on the Raritan River before beginning official competition at the Doc Hosea Invitational in Cherry Hill on March 29.
