Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey issued the following announcement.
The Community Partnership Award honors an individual, group, business, or organization outside of the Girl Scout movement whose partnership has resulted in significant benefits to GSHNJ.
Ericsson's mission to bring young women into the professional STEM pipeline closely aligns with our own, and they have been generous with their time, creative thinking, commitment, enthusiasm, and financial support. In the first year of our collaboration, Ericsson has helped GSHNJ offer a new 5G/Internet of Things patch program for Girl Scouts of all age levels, launch the online Jumpstart platform that provides support for Girl Scouts working on STEM-related badges, establish a scholarship and mentorship program for Gold Award Girl Scouts with STEM-focused projects, include professional subject matter experts to enhance STEM programming at summer camp, pilot a new way of distributing financial assistance to our members, and offer several programs and internship opportunities to our members. But most generously, Ericsson has fully funded our long-term aspiration of creating a mobile program delivery unit so we can bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls wherever they are! We can’t wait to share our new program capabilities later in 2022. Ericsson’s commitment to fruitful conversation and creative collaboration ensures that GSHNJ is able to meet our objective of normalizing girls’ interest in STEM so they will grow up to pursue careers that could legitimately change the world. Thank you for being such a dynamic, inspired partner, Ericsson. #GSHNJLovesVolunteers #GirlScoutVolunteers #VolunteerAppreciationMonth
