Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey issued the following announcement.

During a Memorial Day Parade in Cranford, NJ, Girl Scout Troop 40836 organized a tribute for Amerie, a sister Girl Scout who tragically lost her life in Uvalde, TX. Creating 250 hand-crafted insignias, the Girl Scouts adorned their left sleeves with Amerie's name inside a Girl Scout trefoil. They also added a poster in memory of Amerie to their troop banner during the parade, and carried her with them throughout the day. What a touching way to remember Amerie, and show a powerful picture of sisterhood and strength.
