A champion for hunger relief, Speaker Craig J. Coughlin sponsored the “Working Class Families’ Anti-Hunger Act” which was signed into law by Governor Phil Murphy, will allow for upward of 26,000 more K to 12 New Jersey students to be eligible to participate in free school meal programs.
“Millions of New Jersey residents experienced unemployment during the pandemic meaning more faced food insecurity as a result, many are still struggling to keep up with their bills.
