All too often, people struggling with addiction are blamed and ostracized for their challenges with drugs or alcohol. We want to remind you that addiction is the enemy, not the people who are facing it.

While someone may make the choice to try using substances, it is never their choice to become addicted. Addiction is a not a moral failing or a lack of willpower. It is a disease that needs to be treated and, when possible, prevented from occurring in the first place.

We challenge everyone to stand up against the stigma that people with substance use disorder often face and to fight the true enemy: addiction itself.
