With so many social activities centered around drinking, not succumbing to the pressure can feel like a major challenge for those in recovery or looking to reduce their alcohol consumption. We understand the social pressure, but remember: alcohol-free activities can be just as enjoyable (if not more!) and have lasting benefits for your health and well-being.

Here are 10 ideas to help you get started:

Attend a live music or comedy performance

Visit a local farmer's market or craft fair

Volunteer for a local charity or organization

Take a dance class or try a new workout routine

Play board games or card games with friends or family

Go on a photo walk and take pictures of your city or nature

Explore a new neighborhood or tourist attraction in your city

Have a DIY home improvement or decorating day

Attend a sports game or try a new sport

Host a potluck dinner party with friends
