Rising sophomore Bailee Sturgill competed at the 2025 World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, where she finished seventh in the synchronized 3-meter diving event. Sturgill partnered with Lily Witte of Indiana to represent Team USA, scoring a total of 261.18 across five dives in the finals.
In her first season with Rutgers during 2024-25, Sturgill qualified for the NCAA Championships in three events: 1-meter, 3-meter, and platform. Rutgers sent a record four athletes to the NCAA meet that year. Sturgill also won the NCAA Zone A platform title and led her team by qualifying for finals on both the 1-meter and platform events at the Big Ten Championships.
At the USA Diving Championships held in mid-May, Sturgill earned gold as co-champion on women’s synchronized 3-meter and took bronze on women’s synchronized platform alongside classmate Katerina Hoffman. She was also a finalist on senior women’s 3-meter, finishing fifth.
Most recently, at the 2025 Canada Diving Cup, Sturgill and Hoffman won gold in women’s synchronized platform. Sturgill also secured silver with Witte on women’s synchronized 3-meter and placed eighth individually on women’s 3-meter.
